In 1987 DIS has developed the QUADRO® (PDF) housing concept for a reason. The compact design and the right angled cable entry have minimalized the mounting space and vulnerability of the sensor. The universal QUADRO® housing is therefore ideal to "package" a range of sensor technologies. By using surface mount pcb's and fully potted housing, the sensitive electronics are protected to IP67.
In the meantime we utilise the QUADRO® housing for 7 different sensing technologies and we keep looking for new opportunities:
- Inductive proximity switches
- Infrared photocells
- Hall-effect speed sensors
- Magnetoresistive angle sensors
- MEMS acceleration/inclination sensors
- Relative humidity sensors
- Temperature sensors
Our Sensors can be delivered with following I/O options:
- Analog voltage 0 – 5V of 0 – 10V
- Analog current 4 – 20mA
- Switching with Open collector NPN, PNP or Relay
- Digital interfaces SPI, RS485, I2C, CANopen, TCP/IP
- Wireless via IR, Zigbee, 868MHz, of 433MHz
It may happen that you need a very specific design for your sensor or that you do not need a housing at all. In that case DIS also likes to think with the customer. Over the last years we have designed a large number of customised housing shapes that allows our customers to stand out of the crowd.
